About the collection
This collection was created for ByDavidKollar's September Capsule in 2023. The client requested a photo shoot in a studio setting with a cozy home feel to best express their brand identity. Our goal was to keep the project relatable and evoke nostalgia and a sense of everyday routine. The client also wanted a short video of the model getting ready, including talking headshots, to add to the mood. We shot during sunset to create cinematic images and also captured lifestyle photographs from the studio to tell a more complete story.
Equipment and lighting
For this project, we used the Canon EOS R camera and kept the styling simple to enhance the feeling of everyday life. The client provided the clothing while I supplied the props - flowers and plants - through my company, Nothing Lost Nothing Found. We relied solely on natural light in the studio to ensure clean images for e-commerce.
Costs
This project was completed in approximately four hours and would cost between $2000-$3000, depending on the model used (new faces for budgets of $2000 or established faces for budgets over $2500 due to their increased demand and experience). The quote also covers a short-form reel video, 1-10 clothing pieces shot in look book style, and lifestyle photographs for social media.
